Walking and Snowshoeing Holidays and Tours In the Swiss Alps

SwissMountainLeader is run by an International Mountain Leader (IML) living and working in Switzerland all year round.
We offer a range of walking and snowshoe holidays either based in Leysin in the Swiss Alps or using the alpine hut network.
We run alpine hut tours here in the Swiss Alps including the Tour des Dents du Midi, Tour du Mont Fort and the Tour des Muverans.
In France we offer the Tour des Dents Blanches, the Tour des Glaciers de la Vanoise and the legendary GR20.

In winter the snowshoe trips are run from here in Leysin exploring the local area.
We run regular snowshoe trips to the Grand St Bernard to stay at the historic hospice which is possibly the best snowshoe trip in the alps.
All winter trips include training in avalanche safety and use of equipment like avalanche transceivers. We're particularly happy to welcome IML aspirants looking to get quality days in the winter before training or assessment.

We also run the Bed & Breakfast L’Épicéa in Leysin in the Swiss Alps offering B&B accommodation and acting as our base for other trips. Situated in Leysin, a village in the Swiss Alps, our traditionally styled bed & breakfast offers a variety of facilities in a picturesque setting.

Year round we offer a series of day hikes, on snowshoes in the winter, starting from Leysin, Les Diablerets, and Villars, just get in touch via the website.

Some weeks, depending on demand, we run these day trips from Gstaad, Château-d’Oex, Rougemont, the Portes du Soleil including Châtel, Morgins, Les Crosets and Champery, Ovronnaz and the Val d’Anniviers including Saint-Luc, Zinal, Grimentz and Vercorin.
