Mountaineering services offered: Trekking, climbing and scrambling throughout the Uk and beyond. Outdoor safety consultancy, skills training, navigation skills, scrambling workshops, rock climbing and SPA, WGL and ML training and assessment courses provided.
UK Mountain Experience: I have worked throughout all parts of the Welsh mountains, from the Brecon Beacons to the Plynlymons, to the Rhinogs and Snowdonia. I have worked extensively in the Lakes, Pennines, the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales leading walks and providing training to a wide range of clients. Long distance walks include the Coast to coast and the Yorkshire 3 peaks walks.
European Mountain Experience: I have trekked and climbed in the Romsdal area of Norway, the Western Alps, the Swiss Alps, the French Pyrenees, the Slovak Tatra Mountains. I have walked the Tour de Mont Blanc and have walked in the Costa Blanca region of Spain.
World-wide Mountaineering Experience:
I have trekked upto 5800 metres in Ladakh (India), and crossed the Parang La. Elsewhere, in 2001 I completed the Snow Lake trek in the Karakorum in Pakistan, a 13 day trek over the Hispar and Biafo Glaciers.
I have extensive experience and knowledge of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and have also trekked in the Wind River Mountains in Wyoming, as well as the Mount Rainier and Mt St Helens areas of Washington State.
Other Information: I am a freelance Mountaineering Instructor delivering a wide range of training and mountaineering experiences, including WGL, ML and SPA training and assessment courses for MLTE. I provide safety management advice and consultancy to local authorities, as well as teaching rock climbing, scrambling and other mountain skills to private customers
